Analyze prospective countries’ payment landscapes, identify infrastructure gaps and opportunities, position NPCI International solutions, and support advisory client engagements. The role collaborates with senior managers on client management, project coordination, strategic insights, and high-quality deliverables while helping convert payment infrastructure opportunities.

Build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, reusable data models, data APIs, and data lake infrastructure. Define product KPIs and measurement frameworks, enable funnel and monetization analytics, and support batch and real-time data processing. Ensure data quality, governance, monitoring, and documentation while collaborating with product, engineering, analytics, and business teams. Mentor junior staff and adopt emerging data engineering and AI/ML technologies.

Leads end-to-end data science and analytics projects, including data exploration, statistical analysis, machine learning model development, deployment, and monitoring. Independently manage payment API architecture, infrastructure models, security considerations, SDLC and implementation lifecycles. Prepare technical specifications, API documentation, templates, and RFP responses while serving as a technical subject matter expert. Communicate solution designs confidently with international clients and collaborate across teams on platform and market rollouts.

Monitor NPCI member compliance with circulars, guidelines, and directives; review business proposals against RBI laws; coordinate responses to RBI inspections; facilitate product, statutory, quality, and regulatory audits; manage cross-functional governance teams; address member queries; liaise with RBI, IBA, banks, and financial institutions; and automate compliance processes across payment ecosystems.

Leads UPI and RuPay business operations, including clearing, settlement, transaction monitoring, issue resolution, compliance, reporting, stakeholder management, and process improvement. Manages the operations team, ensures SLAs and regulatory adherence, coordinates technology and product changes, supports audits, analyzes payment trends, and drives initiatives improving scalability, efficiency, customer experience, and partner performance.

Manage Bank IT stakeholder relationships and own end-to-end delivery of projects and change requests. Coordinate requirements, solution design, testing, implementation, risks, and go-live activities. Monitor payment transaction issues, system performance, NPCI benchmarks, business metrics, complaints, audits, and regulatory updates. Partner with Product, Operations, Technology, and banking teams to improve operational efficiency, compliance, customer satisfaction, and account performance.

Leads cross-border remittance strategy, payment-system interoperability, API integrations, regulatory compliance, partner onboarding, governance, fraud controls, and multi-country project execution. Develops business requirements, product documentation, operating processes, testing plans, and control frameworks while coordinating Technology, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Legal, Finance, vendors, banks, fintechs, and regulators. Drives product launches, corridor optimization, revenue growth, cost reduction, customer experience improvements, and operational resilience.

Manage strategic relationships with issuing and acquiring banks to grow NPCI digital payment products and UPI. Own business targets, portfolio expansion, GTM strategies, incentive campaigns, and market-share growth. Engage senior stakeholders, oversee governance, coordinate cross-functional execution, track performance through MIS and analytics, resolve escalations, and support forecasting, compliance checks, CRM updates, and automation.

Conduct risk-based internal audits across financial, operational, compliance, and IT areas. Develop audit plans, perform walkthroughs and control testing, identify gaps and root causes, assess governance and regulatory compliance, prepare reports, communicate findings, track remediation, and provide advisory support for process improvements and system implementations.
