The Schedule Editor maintains and edits TV schedules and databases, researches content, and provides customer support regarding programming information.
Gracenote is the top provider of entertainment information, creating industry-leading databases of TV, movie, and music metadata for entertainment guides, applications and in car entertainment. We are the leading supplier of TV and Movie entertainment data. We supply data to leading entertainment platforms and devices. We are currently looking for a Schedule Editor to join our Content team.
ROLE: The Global Schedule Editor performs metadata editing functions related to the ongoing maintenance and creation of media databases and content, specifically in the audiovisual sphere.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Edits and maintains television schedules and database information for satellite, pay cables and pay-per-view listings for all markets.
- Analyzes program schedules, assesses database information and researches and creates database content for original series and specials.
- Researches and documents questionable program content by consulting program information providers and/or Gracenote personnel.
- Initiates and maintains effective relationships with programming information providers and acts as a customer service representative when addressing issues concerning product content and policies.
- Analyze program information provided by sources, assess database information and map ID’s correctly within the mapping interface.
- Provides timely updating of listing’s information outside regular business hours as needed.
- Directs workflow for absent teammates and provides cross-shift updating coverage to create an independent team.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the management team.
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate in any stream.
- Exceptional grammatical, organizational, analytical and communication skills.
- Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills and time management skills.
- Must have the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Business-level English proficiency: excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and/or G-SuitesGood internet research abilities.
- A quality-focused individual with a high level of attention to detail.
- Able to work in a self-directed and fast-paced environment.
- Ready to work in a 24/7 operation, including evening and weekend shifts.
- Knowledge of international TV shows, and the media sector in general, is a plus.

- The role is hybrid, so you must live near Nielsen’s office.
- Hybrid Workers are those employees who are working partially from home which is in the same city as the Nielsen office they are employed with and partially from a Nielsen office / site
