Job Summary
The Field Sales Representative is responsible for driving transactional sales of designated products and services through direct, in‑person engagements. This role operates using established sales processes, defined contract terms, pricing structures, and margin guidelines. The primary focus is on new business acquisition with no account management responsibilities, typically aligned to residential B2C customers. The role requires strong customer interaction skills, area coverage discipline, and consistent achievement of order booking targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute field sales activities to acquire new customers within the assigned territory.
- Follow a standardized transactional sales process, adhering to approved pricing and margin guidelines.
- Prospect, identify, and convert new opportunities in residential and B2C segments.
- Build a strong understanding of customer needs to effectively position products and services.
- Meet or exceed monthly and annual order booking targets, including the 2026 revenue goal of $800K.
- Provide accurate and timely updates on leads, pipeline status, and sales performance.
- Maintain productive relationships with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
- Adhere to all compliance, reporting, and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Education: 2‑year degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant sales experience.
- Experience: Minimum 4 years of field sales experience, ideally in B2C transactional selling.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently in the field with disciplined territory management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in residential or B2C product/service sales.
- Familiarity with standardized sales processes and tools.
- Strong knowledge of the Pune market or similar geographies.
