Rooms Division Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that Company and Public Health standards of cleanliness, sanitation, maintenance, and presentation are consistently upheld across all guest and teammate public areas, as well as guest and officers’ staterooms.
• Lead a guest- and teammate-centric service culture within the Housekeeping team, proactively identifying and resolving friction points to consistently exceed service and satisfaction targets.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest and teammate public areas and staterooms, ensuring timely readiness, impeccable appearance, and full compliance with brand and Public Health expectations.
• Drive effective use of OCEAN Hospitality, GuestView Housekeeping, and related tools to support truly personalized service delivery and efficient follow-up on guest feedback and requests.
• Oversee day-to-day Housekeeping operations in guest and teammate public areas and guest/officer rooms, including issue resolution and ownership of all Service Excellence-related guest inquiries and complaints.
• Identify, document, and communicate furnishing, repair, and replacement needs in guest and teammate public areas to the Assistant Rooms Division Manager, and in guest and officer rooms to the Rooms Division Manager.
• Collaborate closely with the Rooms Division Manager, Assistant Rooms Division Manager, and other shipboard leaders to share best practices, improve operational efficiencies, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support the training, coaching, and performance of Housekeeping team members, reinforcing safety, Public Health, and service standards at all times.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in a Housekeeping supervisory role within a premium hotel, resort, or cruise environment; previous cruise ship experience is strongly preferred.
• Solid understanding of Public Health, sanitation, and environmental requirements (e.g. USPH or equivalent) as they relate to housekeeping operations in public areas and staterooms.
• Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to supervise, coach, motivate, and develop a diverse, multicultural Housekeeping team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage high-volume workloads, prioritize tasks, and maintain consistently high standards.
• Confident verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to give clear instructions, feedback, and guest-facing explanations.
• Demonstrated commitment to Service Excellence, with a strong guest-service mindset and the ability and willingness to deliver outstanding experiences to guests and teammates.
• Comfort using digital tools and shipboard systems (e.g. OCEAN Hospitality, GuestView Housekeeping, or similar) to plan work, track tasks, and respond to guest feedback.
• Motivated, proactive, and solutions-focused, with the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
• Warm, approachable, and culturally aware communicator who builds positive relationships and contributes to an inclusive team environment.
• Strong sense of responsibility for safety, compliance, and environmental standards, including participation in required training and emergency duties.
