Rooms Division Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold company, brand, and public health standards for cleanliness, sanitation, presentation, and maintenance across guest staterooms, teammate cabins, public areas, and all associated back-of-house spaces.
• Lead daily inspections of guest and teammate areas to ensure consistent cleanliness, timely readiness, and a welcoming environment in line with Princess standards.
• Oversee the efficient operation of the Laundry, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality, clean, and well-presented linens, uniforms, and guest/teammate personal items.
• Conduct regular preventive maintenance checks and inventory reviews, ensuring accurate reporting on the condition of all fixtures, furnishings, equipment, and soft goods within the Rooms Division.
• Drive performance against Rooms Division KPIs by fostering a personalized, guest-centric culture and embedding the Service Excellence program and experiential ownership across the team.
• Own guest satisfaction for all Rooms Division touchpoints, supporting teams to provide timely, effective, and personalized resolutions while reducing post-cruise complaints.
• Ensure all Rooms Division teammates consistently demonstrate a positive, professional demeanor and are fully trained on company service standards, safety procedures, and brand programs.
• Manage all Rooms Division budgets and expenditures responsibly, monitoring costs and implementing initiatives to optimize resources without compromising guest experience.
• Train, coach, and monitor the team to maximize Laundry revenue and minimize costs, refunds, and losses related to damaged, misplaced, or mishandled items.
• Implement and reinforce best practices to minimize waste, breakages, and misuse of supplies and equipment throughout the Rooms Division.
• Mentor Rooms Division leaders and teammates through structured coaching, feedback, and development plans, ensuring completion of all required training and supporting clear career progression pathways.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Extensive experience in hospitality operations, ideally 10+ years within the cruise or hotel industry, including significant exposure to housekeeping, laundry, and public area management.
• Proven leadership experience at Housekeeping Manager or equivalent level, with responsibility for large, diverse teams in a fast-paced, guest-centric environment.
• Strong understanding of public health, sanitation, and hygiene standards (e.g., USPH or similar), and experience implementing and monitoring compliance across guest and crew areas.
• Solid educational foundation, such as a high school diploma/GED; additional hospitality or management education is an advantage.
• Demonstrated general management skills, including planning and organizing, time management, data and information analysis, decision-making, and delivery of operational results.
• Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written; additional languages are highly valued in our multicultural environment.
• Deep commitment to guest service, with the ability to role-model and coach service excellence and experiential ownership across the Rooms Division.
• Motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with the resilience to manage competing priorities and maintain high standards under pressure.
• Personable, confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and a warm, approachable, and professional demeanor.
• Proven ability to lead, develop, and inspire multicultural teams, fostering an inclusive, respectful, and high-performing work environment.
• Strong financial acumen related to departmental budgeting, cost control, inventory management, and revenue optimization within housekeeping and laundry operations.
