About the job

As our National Business Manager, Community Pharmacy, you will play a key role in driving growth across some of our most important pharmacy customers. Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Trade Marketing teams, you will develop and execute customer strategies that deliver sustainable business results, strengthen strategic partnerships and support the successful launch and distribution of our brands. You will also lead forecasting activities across the team, ensuring accurate planning and alignment with business objectives.

  • Lead strategic customer partnerships that drive growth, market share and long-term value.
  • Bring customer and channel strategies to life through effective planning and execution.
  • Own forecasting processes and contribute to demand planning to support business performance.
  • Build collaborative relationships across functions to deliver commercial objectives.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise promotional activity, distribution and portfolio performance.
  • Use data, insights and market trends to inform decision making and customer plans.
  • Champion a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
Main responsibilities
  • Manage and grow strategic community pharmacy accounts, delivering and exceeding agreed sales and profitability targets.
  • Develop, implement and maintain Joint Business Plans that create value for both Opella and our customers.
  • Lead account forecasting and contribute to demand planning processes, ensuring accurate and timely business inputs.
  • Analyse sales, promotional and market performance data to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Partner with Marketing, Trade Marketing and Sales teams to execute customer plans and support new product launches.
  • Build strong relationships with key customer stakeholders through regular meetings, business reviews and strategic discussions.
  • Provide clear reporting, commercial insights and recommendations to support business decision making and execution.
About you
  • Demonstrated success managing customer accounts and delivering commercial results within FMCG, consumer health or a similar environment.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret business performance, forecasts and profit drivers.
  • Skilled in negotiation, influencing and building productive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and executing customer or account plans that deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and insights to support decision making.
  • Excellent communication, planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in using sales, market or trade data to identify opportunities and track performance.

Desirable

  • Experience in category management and/or field sales.
  • Formal training in negotiation or strategic account management.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in business, commerce, marketing or a related discipline.
