Role Overview:We are looking for an experienced Wintel L2 Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware/Hyper-V, Backup & Recovery, and Datacenter Operations. The candidate should be able to handle infrastructure operations independently, L2 troubleshooting, incidents, changes, maintenance activities, and OEM/vendor coordination.
- Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS/DHCP, AD replication, authentication and Domain Controllers.
- Perform server health checks, performance troubleshooting, patching, hardening, upgrades and decommissioning.
- Administer VMware/Hyper-V hosts, clusters and VMs; perform provisioning, migration, troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Manage and monitor enterprise backup environments, including backup jobs, restores, retention and recovery testing.
- Support DC/DR operations, DR drills, failover/failback and recovery activities.
- Perform datacenter operations, including rack & stack, physical server installation/decommissioning and hardware troubleshooting.
- Troubleshoot CPU, memory, disks/SSD, RAID, PSU, NIC, HBA/FC and server hardware issues.
- Coordinate with Dell, HPE, Lenovo and other OEM/vendor teams for hardware replacement and technical issues.
- Monitor infrastructure, respond to alerts and resolve L2 incidents within SLA.
- Execute approved changes, patching and planned maintenance activities.
- Perform RCA for major/recurring incidents and maintain technical documentation.
- Use PowerShell for troubleshooting and basic automation.
