Job Summary
Synechron is seeking an experienced VisionPLUS Tester with strong CMS module expertise to lead testing efforts for VisionPLUS banking solutions. The role involves planning, executing, and overseeing QA activities across CMS modules (e.g., CMS, FAS, LMS, TRAMS, ITS), migrations, and integrations. The ideal candidate will collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, compliant, and reliable testing outcomes that support project timelines and business objectives.
Software Requirements
Required Skills (Essential)
Hands-on testing experience with VisionPLUS and its CMS module, including functionality across core CMS components
Strong experience testing VisionPLUS modules (CMS, FAS, LMS, TRAMS, ITS) and migrations
Experience validating payment message formats and flows within VisionPLUS contexts
Proficiency in designing, developing, and executing test plans, test cases, and test data strategies
Experience performing functional, integration, regression, SIT, and UAT testing across payment processing workflows
Proficiency with API testing and integration validation (e.g., VisionPLUS APIs, external interfaces)
Strong SQL skills for data validation, reconciliation, and test data setup
Experience using test management/defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM, or equivalents)
Understanding of SDLC/Agile methodologies and ability to participate in cross-functional ceremonies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to document clearly
Preferred Skills
Prior experience with newer or updated VisionPLUS modules (e.g., RIS, OMS, or HCS) as an advantage
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test automation integration
Familiarity with data validation, data quality, and data governance concepts
Banking or financial services domain experience
Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting for QA (e.g., Selenium, UFT)
Overall Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end QA activities for VisionPLUS projects, including CMS modules, migrations, enhancements, and upgrades
Define and own QA strategy, test approaches, test plans, data strategies, and execution governance for VisionPLUS engagements
Validate payment message formats and flows (e.g., ISO 8583, SWIFT equivalents) within VisionPLUS environments
Prepare detailed test scenarios and test cases for VisionPLUS components (DM/CSM as applicable)
Conduct comprehensive testing (functional, integration, regression, SIT, UAT) across payment workflows
Ensure test environment readiness, including data loading and scenario-specific setups
Coordinate defect triage, retesting, validation of fixes, and closure with development and business teams
Track and report test progress, quality metrics, risks, and issues to stakeholders
Use test management tools to manage test execution and defect lifecycle
Drive QA ownership, adherence to best practices, and continuous improvement in QA delivery
Develop and maintain project-specific QA documentation throughout the lifecycle
Support go-live activities and post-implementation stabilization as required
Communicate clearly with stakeholders and influence testing approaches based on business needs

Preferred: Basic scripting in languages like JavaScript, Python, or Shell for test automation Support

Essential: Jira/Confluence or equivalents; SDLC/Agile practices; test planning and documentation
Preferred: CI/CD integration experience; test automation frameworks; HP ALM experience
Security Protocols
Essential: Awareness of data privacy and banking security considerations in testing
Preferred: PCI-DSS awareness and secure testing practices for financial data
Experience Requirements
4–10 years of hands-on VisionPLUS testing experience, with strong CMS module focus
Experience across testing phases for banking/card processing platforms and migrations
Background in collaborating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Preference for experience in Finacle or other core banking integrations (advantageous)
Alternative pathways: substantial VisionPLUS CMS testing projects, relevant certifications, or banking technology credentials
Day-to-Day Activities
Design and execute test plans and cases for VisionPLUS CMS modules and related components
Perform manual and automated testing, documenting results and defects
Collaborate with BA, developers, QA, and operations to ensure test coverage and quality
Review test plans and results, and participate in defect triage and remediation
Support SIT/UAT, pre-production validation, and go-live readiness
Maintain and update test artifacts, data sets, and test data management processes
Mentor junior testers and contribute to QA process improvements
Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Relevant certifications in software testing or banking technology are advantageous
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment and manage stakeholder expectations
