Vice President RMG COO office, ECL Governance, Risk Management Group

Job Purpose
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to handle the Governance for Expected Credit Loss (ECL) framework within Risk Management Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and managing the governance processes for the ECL framework in line with the guidelines released by RBI in April 2026 and Group policies and standards. 
Key Accountabilities and Requirements

• Establishing governance process for ECL including setting up of ECL Oversight committee with appropriate Terms of Reference, detailed Standard Operating Process for all governance related activities etc.,
• Ensuring all governance processes are followed in addition to providing convening the ECL oversight meeting and handling the secretarial support function for the committee
• Engaging with external agencies to ensure Macro-economic Variables (MEVs) are refreshed on a quarterly basis and approved by the ECL Oversight committee
• Managing audit relating to ECL including engagement with internal audit, statutory auditors and regulatory inspectors on matters relating to ECL framework
• Ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements and Group Policy/Standards requirements on matters relating to ECL framework

Required Experience
 

• 14+ years of experience in risk management with specific experience in handling the governance related functions
• Understanding of ECL framework and prior work with risk committees, risk policies and governance frameworks.

Education / Preferred Qualifications

Post -graduate/ Graduate degree in quantitative discipline (such as Statistics, Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Data Analytics or equivalent) is preferred

• Experience in a regulated financial institution environment.
