About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Director to lead our engineering team across three critical technology tracks: Node.js + React + AWS and Node.js + Python + AWS, and Node.js + AWS. In this leadership position, you will drive the strategic direction, technical excellence, and operational execution of our product and platform development efforts, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability in a cloud-first environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient backend services and APIs.
- Collaborate with product managers and frontend teams to gather and implement requirements.
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high-quality code standards and best practices.
- Optimize application performance and troubleshoot backend issues.
- Contribute to continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for seamless deployments.
- Stay updated on emerging backend technologies and recommend improvements.
Technical Skills:
- Programming Languages: Hands-on experience with Java, Node.js, or Python.
- Cloud Platforms: Practical knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Databases: Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis).
- Microservices: Familiarity with microservices architecture and RESTful APIs.
- DevOps: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
Experience:
- 3+ years of backend development experience.
- Proven ability to design and develop scalable and secure applications.
- Exposure to agile development methodologies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
- Proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.
