Perform quality control and lyric syncing for Tamil music, edit and QC metadata to style guide standards, spot inconsistencies, collaborate with local and international teams, and support process improvements for a global consumer product.
Welo Data is looking for someone with a genuine passion for music and the artists behind it, across genres. This is an entry level role suited to a candidate with strong research skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused through long stretches of repetitive work.
Role Overview-
You'll contribute to content delivered across produces from a leading consumer technology company, released to markets across the globe. The core of the work is quality control, QCing and syncing lyrics as well as editing and QCing metadata, to meet style guide and quality requirements before content reaches the audience. You'll collaborate with local and international teams to monitor and improve product quality, using your market expertise to enhance the user experience for your region. This role reports into the Project Management layer, working alongside multiple PMs on the project.
Project Details-
Type of Employment: Contract
Project Duration: 12 Months of Contract with possible extension
Working Hours / Schedule: 2:30pm - 9:30pm IST (Indian Standard Time), 1h unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday (40 hours/week).
Location: Remote in the India
Pay rate: 650,000.00 INR/year
Key Responsibilities
- QC and sync lyrical content in Tamil - Edit and QC metadata to meet style guide requirements
- Ensure content meets style guide and quality requirements before it reaches the audience.
- Evaluate internal and external content against quality standards
- Spot issues and inconsistencies within large volumes of content and make sound judgement calls within established guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with local and international teams
- Help identify recurring errors and support process improvements
- Adapt as products and priorities evolve
- Ability to follow detailed style guides and documented processes consistently
Requirements
- Experience within tech, product, digital media or entertainment
- Experience handling metadata
- Experience moderating language content in Tamil - Self-motivated, with the ability to handle repetitive tasks
- Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Broad knowledge of and passion for music, musicians and genres across the board
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken, plus native level fluency in Tamil
- Flexibility to support additional projects aligned with business needs, as required
- Preferred proficiency on Mac OS systems
Education-
Bachelor's degree or higher preferred - Relevant work experience preferred
