Who we are.

At Bluehost, we’re not just building websites—we’re shaping the future of the web through content, commerce, and the power of AI. From intelligent automation to generative content and personalization at scale, we believe AI will define the next era of customer experience and business growth.

As a trusted leader in web hosting and WordPress, our mission is to help customers of all sizes build a digital presence that drives results. Backed by private equity and powered by innovation, we are building the go-to platform for creators, entrepreneurs, and businesses to thrive online.  With a global portfolio of brands and millions of users worldwide, we’re entering a bold new phase of transformation—driven by people, technology, and ambition.

We are looking for a technically strong Tag Management Specialist with deep, hands-on expertise in Adobe Launch. This is not a generalist tagging role — we need someone who can write custom code, architect scalable solutions, and rigorously validate third-party tracking across a high-volume ecommerce environment. You will manage tagging solutions that handle billions of events annually, reporting to the Marketing Technology Senior Manager and collaborating across marketing, engineering, and analytics teams.

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark.

  • Architect and maintain scalable tagging frameworks across multiple digital properties, not one-off implementations.

  • Write and maintain custom JavaScript within Adobe Launch rules, including Adobe Analytics custom code (s-object, TL calls, custom events, eVars, plugins).

  • Implement, update, and troubleshoot Adobe Launch tags including rules, data elements, and extensions.

  • Perform rigorous QA and validation of standard marketing pixels (Meta, Floodlights), custom pixels, and third-party scripts — both client-side and server-side.

  • Develop and maintain robust data layers in collaboration with engineering and analytics teams.

  • Ensure accurate integration between Adobe Launch and downstream platforms including Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and third-party ad vendors.

  • Monitor tag performance and recommend optimizations to minimize site performance impact.

  • Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for all tagging implementations, naming conventions, and processes.

  • Partner with marketing, engineering, and analytics stakeholders to gather requirements and execute tagging strategies. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential — this role requires translating technical tagging details for non-technical stakeholders and working effectively across teams.

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed.

Experience Requirements:

  • Adobe Launch: 3+ years minimum (hard requirement). Deep, hands-on implementation experience required.

  • JavaScript & Adobe Analytics Custom Code: 3+ years. Must be proficient in writing custom code within Adobe Launch rules, including Adobe Analytics s-object manipulation, TL() calls, custom events and eVars, and plugin implementation.

  • Third-Party Pixel & Script QA: 2+ years validating marketing pixels (e.g., Meta, Floodlights, custom/IoT ad pixels) and third-party scripts using browser dev tools, Charles Proxy, or equivalent.

  • Ecommerce Tag Management: 1+ year minimum. Experience tracking ecommerce events (product views, cart, purchase) and working with ecommerce data layers is required.

Technical Requirements:
  • Adobe Launch (required): Expert-level. Rule architecture, data elements, custom code, extensions, publishing workflow.

  • JavaScript (required): Custom coding within Launch rules; Adobe Analytics s-object, TL() link tracking, plugin implementation, event-driven patterns.

  • Adobe Analytics (required): Familiarity with AA implementation concepts — props, eVars, events, processing rules, and custom code.

  • Pixel & Script Validation (required): Proficiency with browser dev tools, network tab inspection, and QA tools (e.g., Charles Proxy, Omnibug, Adobe Debugger).

  • Server-Side Tagging (highly desired): Experience with server-side tag implementations strongly preferred.

  • HTML/CSS: Working proficiency required.

  • Privacy Compliance: Some exposure to consent management and privacy implementation (e.g., OneTrust, cookie compliance).

  • Customer Data Platform (nice to have): Experience with CDP ingestion is a bonus, not required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Adobe Launch or Adobe Analytics certification.

  • Experience with Google Tag Manager or Tealium IQ (demonstrates platform breadth).

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira.

  • Understanding of digital marketing campaign structures and attribution.

  • Adobe Web SDK experience a plus.

What We’re Looking For:

The right candidate can open a page, fire up the network tab, identify a broken pixel, trace it back to a Launch rule condition, write a fix in custom code, and document it — all without being asked twice. You think in systems, not tickets. You care about naming conventions, clean data layers, and getting it right the first time.
