Analytics Engineering is seeking a Sr Principal Engineer with a strong geospatial background to drive AI innovation and modernization of map-making processes across Places, Analytics, Data Lineage and Traffic Engineering.

Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Strong grasp of ML algorithms, deep learning, and data engineering

The ideal candidate has previous background of working with Geospatial technologies, Data Engineering background and has demonstrated AI Innovation in the field of Location Intelligence.

Architectural mastery

Designing distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-availability platforms

Aligns technical direction with business goals and Influences long-term tech roadmaps and investment decisions.

Leadership Impact

Coaches senior engineers and helps grow technical talent and works cross-functionally to have impact across multiple teams / entire business units.

You are a go-getter with a bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems with 11+ years of application development experience with a strong understanding of agile principles.

• Technology Expertise: Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and strong grasp of ML algorithms, deep learning, and data engineering.
• Geospatial Specialization: Proven experience with geospatial technologies and demonstrated AI innovation in location intelligence.
• Architectural Mastery: Expertise in designing scalable, distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Programming Skills: Strong fundamentals in Java and Scala; moderate knowledge of Python, AI/ML, and GIS.
• Big Data & Infrastructure: Experience with big data processing and architecture (Kafka, Flink, Spark) and infrastructure tools like Maven, Git, Kubernetes, Docker, and Linux.
• System Design & Quality: Strong quality mindset with expertise in system design, scalability, performance, and testing.
• Software Fundamentals: Solid problem-solving skills with knowledge of data structures, algorithms, multithreading, and design patterns.
• Web & Microservices: Understanding of microservices, web services, REST, HTTP, and JSON.
• Communication: Excellent communication skills in English.
• Visionary Mindset & Leadership Impact: Ability to align technical strategies with business objectives, influence organizational technology direction, and mentor senior engineers.
