Manage trading operations for a leading brokerage, ensuring 24x7 operation of mission-critical applications while mentoring junior staff and optimizing cost efficiency.
Key Areas of Responsibilities
- Work on Trading Operations with regular interaction with dealers/traders/business heads locally. and across the globe as required
- Multi-asset though our focus is Equities & Derivatives (will grow with Clitics – our parent)
- Engage with, and act as a contact point for, local regulators and exchange inquiries
- Ensure excellent 24x7 operations of CLSA’s core mission-critical Trading application stack
- Act as the SME for all OMS/EMS/Market connectivity technologies and applications
- Partner closely with Application Development and Support teams to support existing services and to rollout new services seamlessly and efficiently
- Act as a mentor to junior staff and develop their skills
- Ensure that the IT estate is instrumented and monitored effectively
- Establish and maintain an effective framework that provides comprehensive management controls to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of CLSA’s information assets
- Participate in on-call support rotation
- Coordinate the timely recovery of IT systems and applications
- Schedule and document regular changes according to change management rules & guidelines
- Ensure that production environment is stable and efficient
- Adherence to CLSA documented governance guidelines
- Provide an excellent, fast and responsive service to other teams
- Experience working in Equities Brokerage Front Office systems support and back office, preferably bulge bracket investment bank.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or IT related area
- Development and Production support experience with good problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Must have exposure to working directly with end customers/business, vendors, other project stakeholders as needed.
- Prefer candidates with regional experience
- Good communication and technical skills
- Knowledge on Exchange Regulations & Compliance
- Knowledge of Exchange certification process
- Knowledge of Unix,SQL is a must.
- Handling IT system and cybersec audits
- Open to candidates from all locations – preference is right fit to the role
- At-least 10-12 years of experience in Front office Trading application support
- Strong Stakeholder management for application related stakeholders
- ITIL process adherence (change, release, incident, problem management)
- Good command of spoken and written English.
