Team Overview
As a Network Operations Engineer within TransUnion’s Global Infrastructure Technology Services (GITS) team, you will manage critical operational tasks including major incident support, non-project driven system upgrades, support office network, infrastructure configuration changes, and deployment of service improvements and automation. This is a remote position which may require occasional in-person attendance at work-related events at the discretion of management.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Provide troubleshooting for network and infrastructure incidents.
Execute non-project driven work such as system upgrades, patching, inventory management, and configuration changes.
Deploy service improvements and automation initiatives to streamline operations.
Ensure adherence to Change Management processes.
Support small-scale projects that do not require full project governance.
Maintain and enhance departmental procedures, best practices, and standards.
Manage escalation of issues to relevant third-party vendors.
Own release and rollback through the Route to Live deployment process.
Share knowledge with 1st and 2nd line teams to enable first-line fixes.
Mentor and coach team members to support their development.
Participate in on-call weekdays/weekends on rotational basis.
Responsible for Infrastructure Operations Firewalls, IPS and IDS, and Antivirus.
Responsible for Firewall Rules and Policies Management and Troubleshooting Implementing of NAT/PAT, SSH, signatures, etc
Experience in managing SD-WAN solutions and Palo Alto firewall technologies, including corporate firewall environments.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Self-starter with proven ability to develop creative solutions that simplify user network solutions. Work collaboratively across teams spanning multiple time zones
Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless) and UNIX based knowledge.
Overall 6+ years of experience in Network
3+ years of progressive experience in VPN technologies (Cisco Any Connect and Zero Trust Network Access Solutions).
3+ years of progressive experience in wireless LAN technologies (prefer Cisco Meraki & Aruba)
2+ years of progressive experience in SDWAN technologies (prefer Viptela & Meraki)
Optimize and Implement Wireless LAN (WIFI) implementation by adjusting AP groups, RF settings, band steering, WLAN settings, etc. to improve WIFI connectivity for end-users.Manage and maintain WIFI security by ensuring adequate level of authentication standards, limiting user access and rogue detection and containment, Firewall & routing
Excellent troubleshooting and fault resolution skills.
ITIL best practices and ITSM tools experience.
Strong communication skills and ability to manage third-party vendors.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
