Key Responsibilities

  • Supports client management and customers in Central America, Andina and the Caribbean Sea with developing and optimizing operational solutions.
  • Make suggestions for improvements on current operational solutions.
  • Initiates cost savings for the operational solutions.
  • Standardizes and documents the operational solutions.
  • Develop detailed designs for the solution incorporating the scope of services, operating model, resource models, operating cost estimates, recommended selling price, estimated value for the client, and draft P&L for Maersk.
  • Calculate warehouse size based on throughput and product data mainly provided as part of a customer RFQ.
  • Create warehouse process flows for key activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch to maximize productivity.
  • Calculate activity productivity targets to support resource and activity-based costing models.
  • Create warehouse throughput simulation models using industry-leading software to visualize warehouse operations, throughputs, and alternatives.
  • Create warehouse layouts and engineering designs using AutoCAD software.
  • Maintain close links with LEAN and Business Process Engineering experts to ensure LEAN methodologies are transferred to new commercial opportunities within geo scope.
  • Provide innovative solutions and ideas to help create the most competitive offerings.
  • Analyze the business processes, define tools to use and design the most suitable solution together with experts within the team.

Who we are looking for

  • Academic background within Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • Solid experience in logistics and warehousing.
  • Proficiency in Spanish and English languages.
  • 5-6 years of relevant experience within a similar role.
  • Exposure to working in warehouse or logistics operations, including implementation.
  • Solid experience in handling national and international clients.
  • Experience from analyzing and aligning services with business processes and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
