Software Engineer

What's the role?
As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and evolving complex, scalable services. You will take end-to-end ownership of features and platform enhancements, from design through deployment and operation, while contributing to engineering best practices and a strong team culture.

• Designing, developing, and maintaining complex backend services using Java, Scala, or Python
• Leading the delivery of features and platform improvements with full lifecycle ownership
• Architecting, building, and operating scalable, reliable services on AWS
• Creating and communicating technical designs through clear proposals, design specifications, and diagrams
• Collaborating effectively with globally distributed engineers, architects, product managers, and cross-functional partners
• Driving engineering best practices with a focus on simplicity, quality, reliability, and measurable impact
• Making balanced technical decisions by evaluating trade-offs between delivery speed, quality, and long-term maintainability
• Recommending and justifying architectural or product changes using data-driven reasoning
• Mentoring team members and contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering culture, processes, and standards

Who are you?
You are an experienced Software Engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building high-quality systems. You bring deep technical expertise along with a collaborative mindset and a desire to make an impact.

• 2+ years of strong coding experience in Java or Scala, or Python, with the ability to design and maintain complex, production-grade services
• Hands-on experience building and operating scalable services in a cloud environment, preferably AWS
• Experience working with distributed systems, service-oriented architectures, and modern development practices
• The ability to communicate technical ideas clearly through written and visual documentation
• Experience collaborating with global and cross-functional stakeholders
• A thoughtful, data-informed approach to technical decision-making
• An interest in using AI-powered coding assistants (such as Copilot) to improve productivity, including writing effective prompts for coding, debugging, testing, and documentation
• A mentoring mindset and a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
