We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager (North America) to join our Finance and Accounting team. This role will primarily lead indirect tax compliance and operations, with a strong focus on U.S. sales and use tax, while also supporting income tax compliance, tax provision, and related accounting activities.

·       Lead U.S. sales and use tax compliance, including return review, filings, payments, reconciliations, registrations, and nexus monitoring.

·       Partner with internal teams and external advisors to determine the taxability of products and services and support accurate tax treatment.

·       Manage indirect tax notices, audits, exemptions, and related documentation.

·       Identify opportunities to improve and automate indirect tax processes, systems, and controls.

·       Monitor changes in indirect tax laws and assess potential business impact.

·       Prepare data and support the review of Federal, State, and foreign income tax returns.

·       Partner with internal and external tax teams on the Company’s income tax provision.

·       Maintain the tax compliance calendar and ensure deadlines are met.

·       Support tax-related accounting, including balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.

·       Assist with tax due diligence related to mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.

·       Partner with the North America Tax team of Numerator’s parent company and external auditors as needed.

·       Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related field.

·       10+ years of progressive tax experience, including significant U.S. indirect tax experience.

·       Strong knowledge of sales and use tax, including nexus, taxability, exemptions, registrations, compliance, and audits.

·       Working knowledge of U.S. Federal and State income tax and U.S. GAAP.

·       Experience working with external tax advisors and tax technology solutions.

·       Experience in a multinational environment strongly preferred.

·       Prior leadership or people-management experience preferred.

·       Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

·       Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

·       CPA or other relevant tax designation.

·       Public Accounting experience.

·       Experience with indirect tax automation tools.

·       Experience supporting M&A activity.

·       Familiarity with IFRS and SOX compliance.
