As a Senior Specialist - Finance, you are responsible for managing full set of accounts (USGAAP and Local GAAP) for India, financial and costing analysis for business decisions (FP&A) and ensure local statutory and legal compliance. The incumbent is also expected to prepare and review budgets and ensure timely and accurate corporate reporting.
 

What you will do:

Finance & Accounting

  • Manage the Finance and Accounts function for the country operations which includes day to day accounting to group reporting (USGAAP)
  • Preparing IGAAP financial statements and liaison with financial auditors for statutory financial audit and tax audit for tax filings
  • Ensure the integrity of financial reporting including balance sheet reviews and maintaining account reconciliation quality as per corporate directives
  • Work with business team on financial budgets. Monthly and quarterly business review of the actuals against budget
  • Ensure adherence to group internal control procedures and customize controls for local operations where necessary
  • Manage the treasury operations for the country – fund forecast, hedging FX exposure, optimizing fund productivity
  • Ensure compliance for corporate tax and transfer pricing including tax filling, documentation and assessment representations
  • Ensure compliance with other statutory acts like GST, Customs VAT, excise, and service tax
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act requirements and coordinate with the regional legal team and corporate secretary on India specific drafting and legal interpretations
  • Regular travel to manufacturing sites for supervision and control

Business Partnering

  • Drive business team for KPIs directly influencing the business (CCC, GP, etc.) and devising MIS to facilitate control and ease of business operation
  • Support business team with costing information for product pricing decisions
  • Prepare analysis and narratives for Monthly business Review (MBR) and Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
  • Coordinate with Shared Service team for designing business reports for the business owners
  • Collaborate with other functions to prepare and validate the annual budgets and latest estimate (LE) for legal entity.

Relationships and People

  • Coach team members and engage with Shared Service team to ensure high quality service
  • Develop credibility and build partnerships across the Asia Pacific Finance and other cross functional teams

What you will bring:

  • Chartered Accountancy qualification, additional Company Secretary qualification a plus
  • 5-7 years’ experience in finance and accounts with increasing responsibility, in a manufacturing environment  
  • Strong understanding of business processes and related internal controls
  • Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP with experience in preparing financial statements from scratch and ability to interpret of USGAAP for internal reporting
  • Exposure to corporate tax filings and assessments and able to interpret Income Tax laws.
  • Strong MS Excel and MS PowerPoint skills (for FP&A), working knowledge of Power BI desirable
  • Exposure to ERP environment preferably SAP, BW data warehouse
  • English fluency, both written and spoken
  • Preparedness to travel to the manufacturing plants when needed
