We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Specialist, Data Management and Quantitative Analysis to join our Investment team. This role is located in Pune.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
• Highly visible role in front office currency investment team with deliverable responsibilities to senior portfolio managers, traders and external clients. Working closely with FX Portfolio Managers for day-to-day processing of portfolio revaluations. Accurately updating portfolios by collating and transforming information from a range of sources. Performing thorough checks and validation of data.
• Implementing and preparing currency portfolios, including preparation of investment guidelines, on-boarding portfolios, portfolio restructuring and transitioning. Creating and maintaining portfolio performance and risk attribution tools. Performing thorough monitoring of the currency model outputs and trading activity. Assisting with client requests and enquiries, writing commentaries, presenting ideas, producing analysis, reports and other ad-hoc projects.
• Project Management: Take ownership and appropriate participation to enhance currency solutions in line with business objectives to improve currency investment capabilities and infrastructure. Work closely with the team in designing and improving portfolio management processes and performance monitoring systems.
• Project deliverables are reported through a variety of mediums such as Tableau, Excel, database management. The candidate should be able to articulate and present ideas and elaborate on currency portfolio performance related topics to internal groups. Assigned projects will be expected to be completed with no micro-management, with freedom to add additional value as seen fit.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
• Minimum of 6 years work experience and understanding of macroeconomics, currency markets and/or trading of global macro assets.
• Experience in the investment management industry with exposure to the understanding of institutional client relationships, mandates and constraints.
• Strong IT skills in MS Excel or databases (Access, SQL), Tableau etc. Working knowledge of data systems like Bloomberg terminal or Reuters Eikon or Macrobond.
• Degree in finance, economics, accounting, business, mathematics, computer science or other related areas.
• Desirable to have CFA charter or FRM certification or working towards.
• Familiarity with portfolio rebalancing and implementation, process management, client service.
• Project management experience and ability to build a recommendation based on data.
