Senior Software Engineer (Frontend–React)

This role will help build the customer-facing surfaces that define the Bluehost experience for millions of small businesses. We're scaling fast and rebuilding as we go: new architectural patterns, AI-native features, and a bar for craft that keeps rising. This is a role for a builder who owns outcomes end-to-end, moves ideas from concept to production in days rather than sprints, and wants to help redefine how our front-end systems get built and shipped. 
   

What you’ll do & how you’ll make your mark. 

• Build scalable, responsive, and high-performance web applications. 

• Convert UI/UX designs into clean and interactive front-end experiences. 

• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to deliver features end-to-end. 

• Improve application performance, accessibility, and usability across devices and browsers. 

• Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code following best practices. 

• Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and deployment activities. 

• Contribute ideas that improve user experience, engineering processes, and product quality. 

• Stay updated with modern front-end technologies, AI trends, and industry best practices. 

Who you are & what you’ll need to succeed. 

• 5-8 years of experience in frontend development preferred. 
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). 

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. 

• Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies, especially AI-driven applications. 

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 

• Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills. 

• Attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and accountability. 

• Passion for building intuitive and user-friendly digital experiences. 

• Ability to manage priorities and deliver within deadlines. 

Tech Knowledge Required 

• Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and TypeScript. 

• Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React. 

• Deep understanding of React concepts including Hooks, Context API, component lifecycle, state management, routing, and reusable component architecture. 

• Experience with responsive and mobile-first web development. 

• Familiarity with REST APIs and asynchronous programming. 

• Knowledge of version control systems like Git. 

• Unit & automation testing using Jest, React Testing Library, and Cypress or any other lib; integrated with CI/CD for continuous quality assurance. 

• Experience using AI-powered developer tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar AI coding assistants to accelerate development and debugging workflows. 

• Experience with front-end build tools and package managers such as Webpack, Vite, npm, or Yarn. 

• Understanding state management libraries like Redux or Zustand. 

• Familiarity with testing frameworks and debugging tools. 

• Basic understanding of web performance optimization and accessibility standards. 

• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Agile/Scrum development practices is a plus.
