The role involves managing a debt syndication desk, providing advisory, executing transactions, developing relationships with stakeholders, and preparing financial models.
- Taking large underwriting position with sell down mandate.
- Help in soft underwriting-hard underwiring with sell down of min amount of say Rs. 200 crs and syndicating another Rs. 200 crs trade in the market to generate fee.
- Help prepare the bank towards eventual launch of Project Finance in Infrastructure/Manufacturing/Real Estate and demonstrate to MCB of our syndication capability.
- Also engage with market participants to scout for best effort originate to sell mandates for Loans and Bonds with enhancing our fee income earning avenues
- Set up and manage the debt syndication desk focused on risk distribution and deal origination.
- Provide syndication advisory in consultation with the Business Unit (BU) for structuring and placement strategies.
- Work closely with BU teams from deal origination through execution and market placement of bank-underwritten exposures.
- Execute sell-down/syndication transactions in line with extant regulatory guidelines and ensure all reporting requirements, including those for market placement, are met.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential stakeholders such as Private Banks, PSU Banks, NBFCs, Funds, and Mutual Funds to facilitate syndication opportunities.
Enhance market intelligence on potential borrowers and assess their acceptability across the lending community for effective exposure placement. - Prepare comprehensive Information Memorandums and detailed financial models for prospective lenders.
