Solution Architect (DCF Level 45)

Job Description: 

As a Solution Architect, you’ll be a key member of the Business Platforms team responsible for fulfilling the ongoing integrations and automation-related solutions delivered to our stakeholders. You will create solution architectures for systems and platforms ensuring all relevant options are explored for time, cost and compliance to the company’s standards, policies and practices whilst meeting the business’ requirements. The role will oversee the work of other architects and delivery of the solution for clients both internal and external, shepherding it through the relevant governance.

Key Responsibilities  

• Architectural Design & Strategy
  • Create comprehensive blueprints, including system designs, integration plans, and technology selections.
  • Translate complex business requirements into detailed technical specifications and architectural diagrams.
  • Design end-to-end system architectures across various platforms (Cloud, on-premise, hybrid).
• Stakeholder & Team Leadership
  • Act as a bridge between technical teams (developers, engineers) and non-technical stakeholders (executives, clients).
  • Provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, guiding development teams to ensure alignment with the architectural vision.
  • Collaborate with project managers to manage risks, timelines, and resource allocation.
• Technology Evaluation & Integration
  • Assess and recommend optimal technology stacks, tools, and frameworks based on project needs.
  • Oversee the seamless integration of new solutions with existing enterprise infrastructure and legacy systems.
  • Direct proof-of-concept (POC) projects to validate the feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Quality & Compliance
  • Ensure all solutions meet non-functional requirements: scalability, performance, security, and reliability.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or an equivalent discipline.
• Strong understanding of enterprise finance processes and workflows.
• Extensive hands-on experience in Java, SQL, and modern application frameworks.
• Proven experience designing integrations, automation flows, and enterprise-scale solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Lists.
• Solid experience working within common delivery methodologies (Agile and/or Waterfall).
• Strong problem-solving skills with sound business and technical judgment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify and structure complex technical problems.

Preferred

• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to AI/ML-enabled solutions and architectures.
