Title: Senior Manager, Media, Brand Marketing
Reports to: Director, Brand Marketing
Location: Tokyo, Japan
Primary Purpose:
The Media Senior Manager plays a key role in transforming the brand in Japan and achieving business objectives through customer connections. This role collaborates with Brand Marketing, Brand Analytics, Global Media, and local media partners to ensure top-notch media planning and execution across all media touchpoints.
The successful candidate will utilize their expertise in full funnel media strategy, planning, and performance metrics.
Demand Generation & Demand Capture Media Planning and Budget Management
• Collaborate with the global and Japan media teams to create annual and seasonal media plans based on business targets and brand KPIs• Collaborate with Brand Marketing to share the right content on the best platforms effectively. Identify optimal formats and content needs using the STDC framework. • Strategically plan and supervise demand capture media, SEM, SEO, and retargeting• Plan and manage media budgets, oversee purchase orders, and track financial reconciliations.• Brief to media agency, deliver campaign media plan and spot plan • Develop in-flight tracking methodology and drive in-flight optimization • Manage media partner's execution and the weekly meetings• Partner with Media Analytics team on weekly monthly and quarterly tracking • Apply deep and up to date understanding of media methodology, media productivity, consumer and market trends to revise and improve mid-long term media strategy and tactics • Marketing Analytics and Tapestry Digital to develop customer full journey data tracking. Link media performance with customer behavior and outcome , Knowledge and experience of MMM and MTA• Provide on competitive and ad hoc tracking and analyses from media perspective • Set process and result media KPIs

• Solid knowledge in digital media planning, media buying, media KPI analyses to ensure effectiveness and efficiency targets• 10+ years of working experience in media agency or in-house media planning role for mid to high budget level brands, FMCG background preferred• Strong communication skills in English and Japanese both written, speaking and understanding• Ability to work with internal partners and external partners for media & media buying agency• Knowledge, Experience and relationship with platform• Growth mindset, self-starter and proactive in a fast-paced environment
