Job Purpose:

The Country Digital & Technology Senior Manager is the senior Digital & Technology leader accountable for Digital, Data, AI and Technology outcomes within a Local Operating Company (LOC), or cluster of LOCs. The role leads local execution of global D&T strategy, develops and governs the integrated country roadmap, and acts as the single point of accountability for success, service continuity, compliance and value realization of local, products and services. The role combines transformation leadership with operational technology accountability: driving business outcomes through transformational AI, data and product-led thinking while ensuring core commercial systems are secure, compliant, resilient and well-governed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Country D&T Strategy and Execution: Translate the country’s business strategy into an integrated Digital & Technology (D&T) roadmap, aligning local market priorities with enterprise strategy, value creation, capacity, investment and governance requirements.
  • Strategic Business Partnership and Leadership: Act as the accountable D&T leader and primary technology partner, part of the LOC Leadership Team, representing GSK Tech and orchestrating enterprise capabilities to address local business priorities. Build trusted relationships with C-suite and senior business leaders, influencing strategic decisions and shaping technology-enabled business outcomes.
  • AI-Enabled Business Transformation: Drive AI-led business transformation by identifying, prioritising and scaling high-value opportunities across AI, data and omnichannel engagement. Embed AI into business processes and decision-making, evolving the LOC from point solutions and tool adoption towards AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Intelligent Automation and Human–AI Collaboration: Accelerate productivity and operational efficiency through intelligent automation, leveraging enterprise platforms, applications and low-/no-code capabilities to eliminate manual effort, augment decision-making and enable effective Human + AI operating models.
  • Commercial Technology and Service Governance: Own the governance and performance of local core commercial technology, systems and services, ensuring business adoption, lifecycle management, service excellence, business continuity, operational resilience, compliance and effective risk management.
  • Portfolio, Demand and Value Management: Lead the end-to-end technology demand and portfolio lifecycle, from opportunity identification and value assessment through prioritisation, investment planning, delivery and benefits realisation. Drive informed build/buy/partner decisions, scale successful solutions and establish sustainable business-as-usual (BAU) operating models.
  • Product-Led Strategy and Enterprise Reuse: Champion product-led thinking and strategic reuse of global and regional platforms, products and capabilities. Balance enterprise standardisation with legitimate local market needs to maximise business value, accelerate delivery and improve cost efficiency and productivity.
  • Data, Analytics and Insight-Led Decision-Making: Enable data-driven business decisions through trusted data, actionable analytics, customer insights, omnichannel performance metrics and forward-looking dashboards that improve commercial effectiveness and business performance.
  • Digital Capability and Talent Development: Build digital, data and AI maturity across the LOC by strengthening business capabilities, upskilling commercial teams and developing local champions. Lead, coach and develop local employees, contingent workers and external delivery partners, as applicable, to build sustainable technology capabilities.
  • Responsible Technology, Risk and Compliance: Champion the secure, ethical and compliant adoption of technology, AI and data capabilities. Partner closely with Compliance, Legal, Procurement, Privacy, Security, Risk and Medical/Commercial governance stakeholders to ensure adherence to enterprise policies, regulatory obligations and local market requirements

Required Skills & Qualification:

  • Minimum Bachelor/Masters degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Digital, Data, Life Sciences, Commercial Operations or a related discipline. Advanced degree or equivalent experience, e.g. MBA, MSc, Computer Science, AI/data certification, product, digital or transformation qualification is preferred.
  • Significant experience in Digital, Technology, Data, AI, Product, Commercial Excellence or Business Transformation
  • 12+ years in technology/digital with substantial leadership experience.
  • Experience in a global role with exposure to markets such as Southeast Asia and APAC, preferably Thailand.
  • Proven ability to translate market strategy and business priorities into technology-enabled outcomes, adoption and measurable value.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing local, regional and global matrix organizations.
  • Experience managing or influencing teams, contingent workers, vendors and development partners, including capacity, budgets, contracts, delivery performance and capability development.
  • Experience with enterprise platforms, core commercial systems, omnichannel capabilities, data/analytics, AI use cases, digital marketing/channels and sales/marketing systems such as Veeva, IQVIA or local equivalents where applicable.
  • Experience with technology lifecycle management, service continuity, portfolio health, demand/value prioritization, build/buy/outsource choices, BAU transition, governance, risk, privacy, security, quality and audit/inspection expectations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Vendor & Financial Management: Proven expertise in managing external service vendors and controlling IT financial cross-charge and provisioning models.
