As Senior Manager, Accounting, you’ll lead our General Ledger (GL) close team based in India (Navi Mumbai). You’ll manage and develop a team of accountants responsible for executing the monthly, quarterly, and annual GL close process across our global entity structure. This is a leadership role where your expertise and guidance will ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across Sovos worldwide.
More specifically, you will:

Manage the end‑to‑end GL close process, ensuring timely and accurate statutory filings (GST, TDS, PF, ESI, income tax).

Coordinate with tax advisors for audits and compliance requirements.

Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.

Maintain close calendars and deadlines, collaborating across time zones.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of GL accountants, fostering accountability and growth.

Identify opportunities to streamline and automate close processes.

Partner with global FP&A to support budgets and forecasts.

Participate in global and Indian audits, managing deliverables and responses.

12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years managing a close function.

CA or internationally recognized finance qualification.

Strong knowledge of US GAAP and close procedures.

Experience managing teams in a global, multinational environment.

Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).

Background in SaaS and subscription revenue models.

Strong organizational and project management skills under tight deadlines.

High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Knowledge of GST compliance and e‑filing procedures.
