The overall span of the team would be 12-20 and would be the front-line manager role, to start with. As a senior leader, you will work closely with multiple principal engineers, mentor and coach engineers. You will not only drive impactful business outcomes, but also take part actively in driving the technical architecture. As a seasoned leader, you will bring in world class engineering excellence and operational excellence. Your background:
- Significant experience with building large-scale web software
- Experience in leading large development teams directly
- Experience in developing platforms and products in a SaaS world, preferably on AWS
- Strong technical experience and a passion for getting involved in the details
- Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
- Ability to drive technical excellence, pushing innovation, quality and operational excellence
- Strong organisation and communication skills
- Driving clarity from single line requirements and providing direction in an ambiguous environments
- A track record of strong execution and delivering results
- Managing frontline engineering managers and architects
- Experience in defining strategic roadmap for products and platforms
- Experience with distributed development teams
