CFA Institute is seeking a Senior Marketing Director to lead the integrated marketing strategy for India while owning and evolving a global Centre of Excellence spanning marketing technology, digital channels, web, and content operations. This is not a development role. It is designed for an established senior leader with the gravitas, judgement, and experience to operate credibly at enterprise level within a highly matrixed, global organisation.
What You’ll Do
Lead the integrated marketing strategy for India, CFA Institute’s most strategically significant growth market, driving brand relevance, engagement, and demand generation
Act as a strategic advisor on India market trends, customer insights, and commercial opportunities, contributing to the India Market Strategy across offerings
Lead strategic marketing initiatives supporting major institutional priorities in India, including new membership classes and career-focused programmes
Own and lead the global Marketing Centre of Excellence across MarTech, digital channels, web, and content operations
Define and deliver the global marketing technology roadmap, including CRM, marketing automation, CMS, analytics, and AI-enabled capabilities
Drive innovation in AI-enabled personalisation, automation, and data-led decision making across the customer journey
Oversee global content lifecycle governance, localisation, and performance measurement to ensure scale, consistency, and impact
Lead and develop a senior, multi-layered team, including multiple Senior Managers, setting clear vision and accountability
Operate effectively within a complex, matrixed environment, influencing senior global stakeholders and representing India and global marketing capabilities in leadership forums
What We’re Looking For
Extensive senior-level marketing leadership experience operating at enterprise level within global, matrixed organisations
Proven experience leading senior managers and building high-performing, mature teams
Demonstrated ability to influence and partner with senior global stakeholders without formal global P&L ownership
Ownership of enterprise-level MarTech and digital strategy across multiple markets, with accountability for platform direction and scale
Experience shaping, scaling, and governing global marketing platforms within multinational organisations
Deep experience leading marketing in India, with strong understanding of localisation, brand relevance, and market execution
Ability to balance India market delivery with ownership of global marketing capabilities and standards
Experience or working knowledge of the financial services and/or professional learning or education sector
Experience with enterprise MarTech ecosystems; exposure to platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and WhatsApp is a strong differentiator when implemented at scale
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field required; an MBA or advanced degree is preferred

At CFA Institute, we are committed to transparency and equity in our hiring process. In compliance with wage transparency laws in many of the jurisdictions in which we recruit, we provide the following information regarding compensation for this position: Expected salary range: INR 9–11 million per year. All salary ranges are subject to adjustment based on experience, education, location and other factors relevant to the position. Additional benefits include eligibility for an annual incentive bonus, a 12% EPF contribution (shared equally between employer and employee), and a comprehensive medical benefits package.
