They are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join their operations team as a remote contractor. This role supports insurance professionals by managing essential administrative processes that keep the business running smoothly.

Role Overview

The Risk Operations Assistant will support the Head of Risk and the broader Risk team by handling administrative and operational tasks, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations, and assisting with key workflows related to case management, communications, and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

Baseline / Administrative Support:

  • Manage and organize the Head of Risk’s email inbox, ensuring critical items are addressed and irrelevant items are cleared.
  • Assist with scheduling meetings and coordinating calls.
  • Support carrier appointment documentation and licensing communications with the team.
  • Handle miscellaneous tasks, such as drafting emails to HR or compliance vendors.

Advanced Support:

  • Help triage SLA breaches and communicate with other Risk team members to ensure important Case Work is addressed promptly.
  • Track tasks and follow-ups that may require the Head of Risk’s attention.
What We're Looking For
  • At least 2 years of experience in administrative or operations support; prior insurance or risk management experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Comfortable learning and using internal systems and tools for tracking and communication
Additional Details
  • Monday to Friday, weekends off
  • Working hours: 9 AM – 6 PM EST
  • Fully remote
