Role Summary

The Regional Project Manager – Marketing is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing regional marketing projects across Emerging Markets, which include the Middle East & Africa, India, Southeast Asia, North Asia, and Australia-New Zealand clusters.

This role focuses on marketing project management, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality delivery of initiatives such as product launches, product & brand harmonization, sustainability certification, digital activations, and commercial excellence programs.

The position requires a structured, analytical, and proactive individual who can work effectively across multiple markets and cultures while aligning with global marketing and corporate strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Lead and manage multiple marketing projects from initiation to completion.

  • Define project scope, goals, timelines, deliverables, and success metrics.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication frameworks.

  • Ensure all marketing activities align with regional and global harmonization standards.

Process Optimization

  • Apply Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to improve workflow efficiency, reduce delays, and increase project ROI.

  • Establish templates, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices for project execution.

  • Measure and report project performance using data-driven insights.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with regional marketing, commercial, supply chain, R&D, regulatory, and finance teams.

  • When necessary, coordinate with external agencies and vendors for project coordination.

  • Support the roll-out of global marketing initiatives, adapting them for local market needs.

Governance & Reporting

  • Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Prepare project dashboards, KPIs, and progress reports.

  • Identify and escalate project risks, proposing mitigation plans.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • Professional certifications:

    • Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt (highly preferred).

    • PMP®, PRINCE2®, or Agile / Scrum certification (strongly advantageous).

  • 5+ years of proven project management experience, ideally within multinational environments in B2B, chemicals, manufacturing or FMCG.

  • Experience leading marketing operations, product launches, sustainability certification or commercial excellence projects across multiple countries.

  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Asana, Monday.com, Jira, MS Project).

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Fluent in English; additional regional language proficiency is an advantage.
