The Quality Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring product and process excellence by driving the implementation and continuous improvement of quality management systems. This position is central to maintaining compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations.
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Management Systems (QMS) to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and customer requirements.
- Conduct product inspections and audits to verify adherence to quality specifications; document findings and initiate corrective actions for nonconformities.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) investigations to identify the source of quality issues and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Apply continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing to enhance process efficiency and reduce defects.
- Partner with suppliers to resolve quality concerns, monitor performance, and ensure the consistency and quality of incoming materials and components.
- Maintain accurate and compliant quality documentation, including procedures, work instructions, inspection records, and corrective action reports.
- Deliver training and mentorship to team members on quality principles, tools, and best practices to promote a quality-first mindset.
- Track and report on key quality metrics and performance indicators; prepare regular management updates on quality trends and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards and certifications, including ISO 9001, FDA, and AS9100, as relevant to the industry.
- Analyze customer feedback and complaints to identify systemic issues, drive resolution, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
- Proficiency in root cause analysis tools (e.g., 5 Whys, Fishbone, Pareto Analysis).
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication and training delivery capabilities.
- Proficient in MS Office and quality management software tools.
