Coordinate regulatory BIS requirements, collaborate with headquarters and external consultants, support registration of overseas spare-parts suppliers under applicable BIS schemes, assess exemptions, liaise with internal teams and suppliers, and investigate potential Indian manufacturers for local sourcing.
Job purpose
- Achieve clarity on regulatory BIS requirements
- Collaboration with headquarters to provide information and clarifications needed on this subject matter whilst liaising with external consultants.
- Supporting the objective of registering overseas suppliers of spare parts under relevant BIS Schemes;Explore the possibility of exemptions, if any. Work with data and consultants to apply to authorities.
- Acting as the point of contact to support the Company’s internal team (SAS) and the overseas suppliers;
- Exploring and assessing the feasibility of identifying domestic (Indian) manufacturers for spare parts, based on the defined requirements, if the Company considers pursuing local sourcing.
