QA Automation Engineer
About the Role
As a QA Automation Engineer, you will contribute to the work with the digital products team and ensure that new and existing products meet high usability and quality standards. This role isa full-stack QA role which needs a blend of SQL skills, automation, and manual testing.
Job Responsibilities• Play an active part in the product team throughout the Lifecycle to collaborate on the analysis, design, development, and testing• Actively participate in release planning meetings to create stories with acceptance criteria by helping identify missing or incomplete requirements• Participate in agile ceremonies and collaborate in peer reviews• Maintain and develop new strategies for the Automation framework and all related automation activities + Keenly follow QA best practices• Creates and executes automated scripts for regression, integration, and functional testing on newly designed or modified applications/systems• Clearly articulates verbally and in writing the specifics around defects• Monitors and updates defect reports as needed to ensure timely problem resolution• Performs application and project risk analysis and recommends quality improvements• Independently follows up with design/development resources regarding defects• Communicates clearly and concisely all-time delays or defects in the software immediately to appropriate team members and management• Evaluate solutions to design, script, and execute Performance tests (Load, Stress)• Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies
Qualifications• 2+ years of relevant QA technical experience.• Knowledge of QA tools, concepts, and methodologies, as well as ensuring the technical translation of requirements into test plans.• Clear communicator (written and verbal) - to ensure cross-functional team collaboration and ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and databases.• Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables - be motivated and take informative quick decisions• Working knowledge of the following technologies, tools and concepts is required
o SQL (PostgreSQL) complex queries, experience of cloud like AWS is plus
o Test Automation, with a focus on Java or Python, Selenium, JMeter, CI/CD tools (like Jenkins ,Harness), Postman, Swagger, API Automation(Jave + Rest Assured, Python requests)
o Hands on experience of tools like Test Rail, JIRA, GitHub
