Role Overview
As an SDE 2 | Python Developer, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs that power critical business applications. Your work will directly contribute to delivering reliable, high-performance software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve product quality, engineering efficiency, and user experience.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy backend applications and services using Python.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs using Flask and/or Django frameworks.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Ensure application reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability across the software lifecycle.
- Work with databases, third-party integrations, and internal services to deliver robust system functionality.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tooling, and engineering standards.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 4-8 years of professional experience in Python backend development
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs
- Strong experience with Flask and/or Django frameworks
- Solid understanding of software development best practices and debugging
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred
- Experience with scalable, high-performance backend systems
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and deployment workflows
- Exposure to microservices architecture
- Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines
