Partner Insights function, which is a part of Asset Strategy and Procurement, use market research and data analytics to interpret external and internal data and estimate impact on Asset Strategy globally to make data-driven and result-oriented decisions for our customers, suppliers and business.
Its goal is to proactively identify the risks and opportunities driven by market factors at the level of suppliers, industries and geographies that leads to consideration of multiple scenarios while making decisions.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate business understanding and address problems through research and analytics.
- Capitalize capabilities of market research and data analytics to interpret external and internal data references to assess the impact on factors like growth, supplier relationships, cost, product development and other priorities and enable with inputs that can become differentiating negotiation levers.
- Internal data analysis: Flag risks and opportunities based on internal data references like Spend, Volume, Productivity, Supplier Performance and category level Cost Driver components and derive inferences to help address problems on Category Management, Negotiations, Budgeting, Supplier Relationship Management, Compliance and Performance Management.
- External data analysis: Flag risks and opportunities driven by market factors linked to suppliers, industries (category supply chains) and geographies to enable procurement with multiple scenarios for informed decision-making and building resilience.
- Good awareness about data sources, their relevance, applications, shortcomings and differences between modules for right selection to deliver insights for entities, financials, ESG, geographies, Category, Technology, Benchmarks, Risks
- Strong collaboration traits and skills to work with diverse stakeholder base and for projects that could be operational or novel initiatives - to scope the need of insights and deliver the same.
- Stakeholder management: Develop and sustain strong cross-functional collaboration and engagement with digital teams, finance, regional leaders, category leaders, transformation and strategy office to get the priorities and focussed solutioning.
- Maximizing the role of data in business problem solving while acknowledging its limitations
- Be hands on digitally – experience of working on multiple Microsoft tools within office suite and outside, ERPs, online database portals, knowledge management systems. Be inclined to assess/ develop mechanisms of delivering insights to large stakeholder base spread geographically allowing right extent of deep dive.
- Take initiatives to plug in gaps identified through insights.
- A quick learner with penchant for high performance.
- Drive innovation – developing ways to use own and suppliers’ data to drive stronger and more consistent customer outcomes and enhanced decision making to support optimization of supply chains, support consistent experiences for teams and our suppliers.
Requirements:
- Experience in procurement, analytics or insights
- Well versed with technologies and tools used for analytics and procurement
- Ability to translate business requirement into data-based problems and vice-versa
- Passion for solving problems using analytics and amid ambiguities
- Strong peer and stakeholder management skills for large, functionally diverse and multicultural base
- Ability to connect initiatives and projects with company objectives and accordingly implement execution plan
- Entrepreneurial approach to develop new competencies in team
- New product or service development and overseeing functional inputs during lifecycle of product or service. Proven track record of taking initiatives and delivering process or product enhancement
- Knowledge of ocean or landside logistics will be an added advantage
