Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated SE II Developer with good experience in object-oriented programming and enterprise application development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for bug fixing, enhancing existing systems, and developing new features while ensuring high-quality, scalable solutions. Experience with Progress OpenEdge ABL (OOABL) and exposure to QAD ERP systems will be a an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and bugs in a timely manner
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Progress OOABL and Java
  • Participate in the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including QA, business analysts, and stakeholders
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Support production systems and provide technical assistance when required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes

Qualifications

  • Experience 4- 8 years 
  • Strong experience in Progress OpenEdge ABL (OOABL)
  • Experience with at least one additional object-oriented programming language (e.g., Java, C++, C#, Python)
  • Solid understanding of OOPS concepts and design principles
  • Experience in bug fixing, debugging, and performance tuning
  • Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred / Good to Have:

  • Experience or exposure to QAD ERP products
  • Knowledge of enterprise application architecture
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality
