Lead end-to-end localization and launch of Wahed's robo-advisory in new countries. Define roadmap, integrate local KYC, payments, custodians and broker-dealers, ensure regulatory and Shariah alignment, optimize localized investor journeys, and coordinate Engineering, Operations, Legal, and BD to drive AUM growth.
About Wahed:
The global financial system wasn't built for everyone. For millions of people, its reliance on interest (riba) creates a barrier to managing money and building wealth without compromising their values.
At Wahed, we're changing that. We are a global fintech company on a mission to build a new financial system—one that is ethical, accessible, and entirely interest-free. From our offices across the globe, our team is building products that were once deemed impossible, from pioneering Shariah-compliant equity ETFs, creating true riba-free alternatives to high yield savings accounts, to creating no-leverage real estate investments for truly interest-free income producing assets. If you're driven to solve complex problems and believe finance should empower, not exclude, join us in building a more equitable financial future.
About the Role:
The Product Manager for Country Expansion will spearhead Wahed's strategic entry into new international markets. This pivotal role requires a sophisticated balance of cross-border product strategy, complex stakeholder orchestration, and a rigorous commitment to a premium B2C user experience. You will be responsible for the end-to-end localization of our core Robo-advisory offering, ensuring technical scalability and regulatory alignment in every new geography.
Job Description:
- Define and execute the product roadmap for international launches, transitioning from initial feasibility studies to post-launch optimization and AUM growth.
- Identify and integrate essential local infrastructure, including Tier-1 KYC providers, diversified payment rails, custodians, and brokerage entities.
- Collaborate with Legal and Compliance functions to architect product workflows that satisfy local Shariah and financial regulations without compromising the global core architecture.
- Own the localized B2C investor journey, ensuring that risk profiling, account funding, and portfolio management are intuitive and culturally resonant.
- Serve as the central nexus between Engineering, Operations, and local Business Development teams to ensure synchronized delivery against commercial targets.
- Manage technical nuances such as local tax reporting, currency fluctuations, and indigenous payment behaviors (e.g., Open Banking protocols or regional real-time payment systems).
Job Specifications:
- 4–7 years of Product Management experience within a high-growth FinTech environment (WealthTech, Digital Banking, or Payments).
- A demonstrable track record of successfully launching complex financial products across multiple international jurisdictions.
- Deep understanding of API-driven architectures, ledger systems, and the mechanics of trade settlement and custody.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to negotiate with external vendors and align internal executive stakeholders.
- A sophisticated understanding of user psychology and a commitment to reducing friction in high-intent financial workflows.
- Proficiency in leveraging data analytics to optimize conversion funnels and product-market fit during the expansion phase.
Why This Role Stands Out
This position offers the opportunity to act as a primary architect of Wahed's global footprint. You will not merely be managing features; you will be establishing the financial infrastructure that enables ethical, interest-free investing for a global demographic.
