Job Description

Product Manager – Enterprise Voice & Calling

1. Role Purpose

Own and drive the strategy, lifecycle, commercial performance and growth of the Enterprise Voice & Calling product portfolio, covering SIP Trunk, PRI, Toll-Free Services, Business Calling/CLI and Caller Identity solutions.

The role will be responsible for translating market and customer needs into differentiated product propositions, driving product innovation and roadmap execution, enabling sales and GTM, and ensuring sustained revenue and profitability growth. The role will also manage and mentor a team of product resources responsible for individual product portfolios.

2. Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Define product vision, strategy and roadmap aligned with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Manage the complete product lifecycle from concept, development and launch to optimisation, migration and retirement.
  • Identify new use cases, customer segments and opportunities for product expansion.
  • Drive migration from legacy voice products towards IP, cloud and next-generation calling solutions.

Product Development & Management

  • Own product requirements, business cases, PRDs/BRDs and feature prioritisation.
  • Work closely with Technology, Network, IT, Operations, CX and other stakeholders for product development and enhancement.
  • Ensure products are scalable, reliable, commercially viable and customer-centric.
  • Drive continuous improvement based on customer feedback, service performance and market trends.

Commercial & Business Ownership

  • Own product-level revenue, profitability, pricing, packaging and commercial constructs.
  • Develop pricing strategies and identify opportunities for ARPU improvement, cross-sell and upsell.
  • Analyse product performance, business cases and ROI of new initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve margins and optimise product cost structures.

Go-to-Market & Sales Enablement

  • Develop differentiated product propositions, value propositions, use cases and GTM strategies.
  • Partner with Sales and Marketing teams for product launches, campaigns and customer acquisition.
  • Develop sales enablement material and conduct product training for sales, channels and partners.
  • Support strategic customer opportunities and complex solution requirements.

Market & Competitive Intelligence

  • Continuously track industry trends, customer expectations, competitor offerings, pricing and technology developments.
  • Benchmark the portfolio against telecom operators, CPaaS, UCaaS, cloud communication and emerging digital players.
  • Identify disruptive opportunities and recommend new products/business models.

Regulatory & Industry Management

  • Monitor TRAI, DoT and other regulatory developments impacting enterprise voice and calling products.
  • Assess business and product implications of regulatory changes and drive required product interventions.
  • Ensure products remain compliant while leveraging regulatory changes to create new business opportunities.

Partner & Ecosystem Management

  • Manage technology, OEM and strategic business partners supporting the portfolio.
  • Evaluate new partnerships and business models to accelerate product development and market entry.
  • Drive partner commercials, roadmap alignment, performance and governance.

People & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and mentor product team members and establish clear ownership across the portfolio.
  • Set objectives, priorities and performance metrics for the team.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to drive product and business outcomes.
  • Build strong alignment across Product, Sales, Network, Technology, Operations, Finance, Legal and Regulatory teams.

5. Educational Qualification

  • Graduate degree in Engineering, Management, Telecommunications, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • MBA / PGDM in Marketing, Strategy or Product Management will be preferred.

6. Experience

  • 8–12 years of relevant experience in Product Management, Telecom, Enterprise Communications, Cloud Communications, UCaaS, CPaaS or related B2B technology businesses.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise voice and communication technologies such as SIP, PRI, IP Telephony, Toll-Free, CLI/Caller Identity and Cloud Calling.
  • Experience in product lifecycle management, commercialisation and GTM.
  • Experience of managing cross-functional teams and preferably direct reports.
  • Exposure to telecom regulations, enterprise communication ecosystem and technology partnerships will be an advantage.
