Process Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tableau Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven individual with a deep understanding of data visualization, business intelligence, and data modeling best practices. This role requires extensive expertise in Tableau, calculated KPI, proficient SQL window functions, and the ability to design and deliver robust, user-friendly dashboards, including those with complex visualizations and integrated machine learning models. The successful candidate will also possess strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate effectively with data engineering teams, all while working independently of generative AI tools

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Tableau dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.

• Develop complex calculated formulas and measures to create sophisticated calculations and aggregations within Tableau models.

• Proficiently apply various SQL window functions (e.g., ROW_NUMBER (), RANK (), LAG (), LEAD (), NTILE (), Loop, etc.) to transform and prepare data for Tableau consumption.

• Lead and execute data modeling efforts within Tableau, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and data integrity (e.g., star schema, snowflake schema, relationships, hierarchies).

• Collaborate directly with business users to gather and understand reporting requirements, translating them into technical specifications and compelling dashboard designs.

• Design and implement complex charts and visualizations, including but not limited to Sankey diagrams, Step charts, drill down charts, dynamic charts (dynamic KPI and Dimension using field parameter) where number of charts or kpi’s and dimensions in a chart can be altered to represent intricate data flows and trends. 

• Integrate and present outputs from machine learning models within Tableau reports and dashboards.

• Architect and design end-to-end Tableau solutions, considering data sources, data transformation, data models, security, and deployment strategies.

• Provide clear and concise data requirements and specifications to data engineers for data ingestion, transformation, and warehousing initiatives.

• Optimize Tableau reports and dashboards for performance; including query optimization, data source connectivity, and visual rendering.

• Perform thorough data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and reliability of reports.

• Stay up-to-date with the latest Tableau features, industry trends, and best practices.

• Act as a subject matter expert for Tableau within the organization, providing guidance and support to other team members.

• Demonstrate the ability to independently research, analyze, and solve complex problems without reliance on generative AI tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, Statistics, or a related field. 

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Tableau Developer.

• Demonstrable expertise in data modeling principles and practices within Tableau, including understanding of relationships, cardinality, cross-filter direction, and custom SQL for data transformation.

• Strong proficiency in SQL, including extensive experience with all types of SQL window functions (e.g., analytic, ranking, aggregate, value, distribution functions).

• Experience in integrating outputs from machine learning models into Tableau reports and dashboards.

• Experience working with various data sources (SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Excel, SharePoint, APIs, etc.).

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide clear requirements to data engineers.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• A strong commitment to independent work and problem solving, without reliance on generative AI tools.

 Preferred (Bonus) Skills:

• Experience with Azure data services or Alteryx (Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database).

• Experience of data warehousing and ETL processes.

• Hands on Experience of Python for NLP, Deep learning, Computer Vision and Classification Techniques is a plus.

• Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView) is a plus.

• Relevant Tableau certifications.

• Experience of working with data that belongs to a process, such as manufacturing, supply chain, or business workflows.
