Maintain runbooks, support migrations/upgrades, handle security audits, and participate in DC/DR drills and weekend activities.

- 6- 8 years as a PostgreSQL
DBA relevant experience .
- Deep expertise in Postgres Server
internals + performance tuning.
- Manage, configure, and optimize
Postgres Server instances in production and non-production environments.
- Manage High Availability &
Disaster Recovery (HA/DR)
- Hands-on experience with Postgres
Replication.
- Strong understanding of Postgres
security and hardening.
- Experience with DB monitoring
tools (SolarWinds, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with internal
and external security standards.
- Handle P1/P2 incidents, root
cause analysis, and preventive action planning.
- Guide L2/L1 teams on operational
tasks, SOP improvements, and best practices.
- Create and maintain technical
documentation, runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Manage security audits and cab
activities as per compliance.
- Manage and close offence raised
by Security team.
- Manage PostgreSQL clusters,
users, files, roles, backups, recovery, and routine maintenance.
- Perform query tuning, index
optimization, and configuration adjustments in PostgreSQL.
- Support Postgres
migrations/version upgradations when required.
- Knowledge on foreign data
wrappers.
- Knowledge on SSL, password less
and TLS authentication.
- Oversee backup & recovery
strategies, RPO/RTO planning, and DR testing.
- Conduct capacity planning,
storage monitoring, and growth forecasting.
- Provide Support in DC/DR drills
as well as in weekend mock activities.
