Piper Serica VC Fund- Piper Serica VC Fund, launched in 2022, is a $40M early-stage venture capital fund managed by Mumbai-based Piper Serica, overseeing ₹1,300 Cr in assets across PMS, offshore FPI, and angel investments. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead from the front to build AuM across PMS, AIF, Offshore Fund and other investment products via large national distributors and direct client relationships (UHNI, Family Offices).

• The right candidate needs to have existing relationships with national distributors and HNI, Family Office investors.

• The lead would need to be hands-on, develop in-depth subject matter expertise with the tasks described above and contribute to the particular client segment aligned, as well as hire and guide the right resources on the team with functional nuances

• Identification and onboarding appropriate national distributors and HNI, Family Offices with investment  interest across product and asset class, varying from PMS, AIF, Advisory Products and other investment products.

• Responsible for Business Development - Apply business/product/process understanding to identify opportunities to build depth in the function, move up the value chain from a complexity standpoint and work towards end-to-end ownership of appropriate tasks

• Establish strong controls and relationships with existing Investor(s) and new investor(s)

• Build up AuM (Assets under Management) over a period of engagement through the right advice and proper fitment.

• Guide and manage the team to ensure the organisation’s targets are aligned, and business numbers are achieved on time within the appraisal time frame.

• Act as a Brand ambassador of the company at various events.

• Continuously upgrade and update with all regulatory compliance and certification requirements. If such certifications are executed during the employment period, the organisation will re-imburse the expenses of the examination costs.

• Ensure all operational requirements and process requirements are completed to onboard Investors smoothly and seamlessly.

• Participate in active engagement with management and other stakeholders to ensure business growth.

We seek candidates with a unique blend of leadership, interpersonal and analytical skills. In addition to functional responsibilities, the candidate is expected to act as a key engagement point with location teams and lead a highly motivated team for both qualitative and quantitative resources to understand complex financial situations and present solutions.
Qualification:
• MBA/CFA or an equivalent professional degree with 6-7+ years of experience
• Broad experience in the Financial/Banking Industry and understanding of the Distributors' life cycle and
Products/Asset classes
• Experienced people manager adapts to working in a matrix organisation and managing dynamic high
• performance teams
• Any experience in building and leading Sales teams would be helpful
• Hands-on multi-tasker, self-directed, capable of working independently and as part of the team.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, strong understanding of the needs and sensitivities of
• distributor engagement and management
• Absolute discretion when dealing with confidential matters
• Able to work independently and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral
• Exceptional follow-up and follow-through skills
• PowerPoint and Excel expertise required
