About the role

    We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented People Operations Apprentice to join our People Operations team. This role provides hands-on exposure to core People Operations processes, including employee experience, compliance, HR systems, benefits administration, and employee lifecycle activities.

    The apprentice will work closely with the People Operations team and cross-functional stakeholders while developing practical skills in People operations, data management, reporting, and employee support.

Responsibilities

    Employee Experience & Communication

  • Draft employee communications, policy updates, reminders, and People Operations announcements for review.
  • Analyze recurring employee helpdesk queries and help improve FAQs and employee self-service resources.
  • Support scheduling and coordination of employee webinars and related communications.
  • Analytics & Reporting

  • Analyze employee helpdesk metrics, including ticket volumes, categories, SLA performance, and resolution times.
  • Track onboarding, offboarding, leave, and attendance metrics and assist with periodic reporting.
  • Support the preparation of ad hoc reports, dashboards, and data insights for the People Operations team.
  • Compliance & Employee Lifecycle Support

  • Maintain employee records and validate mandatory documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.
  • Audit pending onboarding and offboarding activities and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to ensure timely completion.
  • Support recurring People Operations compliance and validation activities.
  • Process Documentation & Knowledge Management

  • Create and maintain quick-reference guides, checklists, FAQs, and process documentation.
  • Keep People Operations knowledge repositories and shared documentation organized and up to date.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and standardize People Operations processes.
  • HR Operations & Data Management

  • Support employee benefits renewal and related operational activities.
  • Assist with HR data clean-up, validation, and reconciliation across Darwinbox and other HR systems.
  • Validate employee information, including bank account and payroll-related data, to maintain data accuracy.
  • Support People Operations projects and process improvement initiatives as required.
  • Coordination & Administrative Support

  • Maintain trackers and follow up on action items to support timely completion of People Operations activities.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders across People Operations, Payroll, IT, and other teams as required.
  • Provide day-to-day operational and administrative support to the People Operations team.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working with data, spreadsheets, and reports
  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills
  • Ability to handle employee information with confidentiality and discretion
  • Willingness to learn and take ownership of assigned responsibilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Interest in building a career in Human Resources or People Operations
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets would be an advantage
