Ops Engineer Senior

We are looking for a who will:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a technically related field, or equivalent professional experience.
•  5+ years of experience
• Strong experience in Mainframe Batch Operations, Managing complex batch flows in scheduling tools such as CA-7, TWS/OPC/IZWS is highly desired.
• Strong knowledge of JCL, SDSF, ISPF, CA7, TWS/OPC/IZWS, VSAM, Cobol and troubleshooting when Batch jobs abend. Ability to represent ops teams in crisis calls, provide batch status updates etc.
• May lead the design and implementation of operational strategies, including system architecture and infrastructure planning. 
• Proactively identify areas for system improvement, automation, and optimization. 
• Manage and resolve critical incidents, conduct post-incident analysis, and drive long-term reliability improvements. 
•  Collaborate with development teams to ensure best practices for deploying and maintaining software applications. 
• Act as a subject matter expert in system reliability and provide training to junior engineers 
• This position may involve periodic weekend support to ensure operational continuity and successful delivery of business-critical initiatives. Flexibility to work outside standard business hours when necessary is expected.
