As an MV RAN Optimization Engineer 2 at Nokia, you will ensure optimal performance across our radio networks (5G/4G/3G/2G) through comprehensive KPI monitoring and targeted optimization initiatives. You will lead site- and cluster-level engineers while collaborating with cross-functional teams and directly engaging with customers to establish performance objectives. This role involves identifying performance gaps, implementing long-term enhancement strategies, and validating improvements, all aimed at enhancing user experience and network quality. Ideal candidates possess expertise in multi-vendor RAN performance management and strong analytical skills, with a focus on achieving sustainable network optimization.
Responsibilities- Monitor and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly RAN KPIs to ensure optimal network performance.
- Identify performance issues and implement proactive optimization strategies to enhance customer experience.
- Prioritize sites for optimization efforts based on KPI trends and customer impact.
- Optimize multi-technology RAN parameters to improve coverage, capacity, and mobility.
- Engage with customers to understand performance goals and set cluster-level optimization targets.
- Conduct performance analysis using network KPIs, OSS statistics, and drive-test data.
- Perform root-cause analysis and execute adjustments to improve network quality.
- Validate performance gains through monitoring and testing to ensure long-term stability.
Must-Have:
- Require any bachelor's degree or related field
- Typically, a minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in RAN optimization
- Expertise in LTE, 5G NR, VoLTE, and RAN performance management
- Proficiency with OSS tools across major RAN vendors
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mobility and coverage issues
- Able to manage performance scenarios with minimal supervision
- Data interpretation skills using Excel, SQL, or analytics dashboards
Nice-To-Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related fields
- Certifications in RF optimization or vendor-specific platforms
- Strong coordination skills with cross-functional teams
- Experience in advanced feature activation and parameter tuning.
