About you and this role

As a Marketing Manager for Personal Care to join us, based in Mumbai, India, and responsible for the India Subcontinent you are an experienced marketing manager who enjoys solving complex problems, building strong relationships, and transforming sustainability and digital innovation into growth, this position if for you! You will lead the 4P strategy (Product, Price, Place, Promotion) for Dow Consumer Solutions’ Personal Care in India. By working closely with colleagues across marketing, sales, TS&D, business communications, product management, regional teams, channel partners, and customers, you’ll help drive sustainable value-chain initiatives and digital transformation. Your contributions will be vital to the primary growth platform of our business.

You will thrive in a psychologically safe, collaborative environment, values diverse & inclusive teams, and can coordinate multi-faceted activities and projects with focal points from sales, technical, business communications, and product management, as well as with peers, channel partners and existing and potential customers.

Core Responsibilities

  • Take Lead to work with Market Management Teams (MMTs) and align segment priorities, optimize the 4Ps, and drive execution to deliver market share gains with existing and new customers.
  • Marketing Plans & Roadmaps: Develop and implement 1–3 year marketing plans for assigned segments, translating strategy into clear roadmaps, budgets, and KPIs—embedding sustainability narratives and digital aspects throughout.
  • Innovation Pipeline Co-Ownership: Partner with TS&D, R&D, and Marketing to assess the innovation funnel, ensure alignment to long-term market strategy and growth expectations, and accelerate time to revenue.
  • Commercialization & Launches: Own the commercialization of new technologies, including launch plan development, value proposition design, sales/distributor enablement, training, and support materials.
  • Market Intelligence & Assessments: Lead ongoing, complex market assessments—market sizing, dynamics, competitive intelligence, customer journeys—to shape portfolio positioning and go-to-market plans.
  • Sales & Technical Collaboration: Work with Sales and Technical Support to remove obstacles, refine value propositions, and scale adoption across target segments and geographies.
  • Digital & CRM Excellence: Design and manage multi-channel digital campaigns; implement modern lead and opportunity management practices; continuously optimize CRM workflows and dashboards to build a quality pipeline.
  • External Communications: Drive prioritization and implementation of the marketing communications plan with Business Communications, ensuring clear, consistent messaging to customers and channel partners.
  • Sustainability & Inclusion: Champion sustainability and inclusion by integrating circularity goals and I&D principles into portfolio strategy, storytelling, and go-to-market execution.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Master’s degree in chemical engineering, Engineering, Marketing, or related fields. Dual technical degrees will be considered.
  • Considered: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Industrial Engineering, Marketing, or related discipline with equivalent experience.
  • Plus: MBA/economics background is a strong advantage.
  • Experience: Minimum 5-8 years of business marketing experience required; 10+ years preferred with a proven track record in B2B marketing leadership, solving complex cross-functional challenges
  • Industry Exposure: Experience in the chemical industry and/or B2B personal care markets highly recommended (not mandatory).

  • Digital Marketing Proficiency: Expertise in SEO, SEM, social, and email marketing to drive engagement and growth.
  • Analytical & Data-Driven: Interpreting KPIs, leveraging analytics, and using dashboards for informed decisions and continuous optimization.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engaging diverse stakeholders and translating insights into differentiated value propositions.
  • Communication: Outstanding verbal and written communication in English; additional local language proficiency is beneficial.
  • Project Management: Effective oversight of multi-faceted campaigns, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Leading teams and fostering strong cross-functional partnerships.
  • Creativity: Innovative mindset for impactful campaigns, storytelling, and branding initiatives.
  • Customer & Market Orientation: Strong bias toward value-add sales, with demonstrated ability to translate market insights into compelling propositions.
  • Sustainability & Digital Engagement: Passion for sustainability topics and strong interest in digital customer engagement with a tangible track record.
