Marketing Manager

Brief:

NMIMS University, a leading educational institution in India, seeks a passionate and results-oriented Marketing Manager/Assistant Manager to join our dynamic marketing team. In this pivotal role, you will spearhead all BTL and ATL activities for the assigned schools and campuses. The Marketing Manager will liaise with the Dean/Director of schools and campuses to understand their business and marketing requirements and develop plans to meet them. 

The role involves coordination with media, creative, PR, and social media teams and agency partners to drive marketing initiatives that enhance visibility and engagement with the target audience. The candidate should also possess foundational knowledge of performance marketing to align traditional and digital campaign execution.

Duties & Responsibilities: 

  1. Develop strategies to create awareness for the school/campus and drive quality traffic to the website/landing pages. 
  2. Establish marketing goals based on past performance and market forecasts. 
  3. Liaison with the media, creative, PR agencies, and social media teams to ensure marketing projects come to fruition. 
  4. Experiment with various organic & paid acquisition channels - content creation & curation, search, social media, and lead generation campaigns. 
  5. Liaison with the creative agency to produce valuable and engaging content for the website and landing pages. 
  6. Research and analyse market trends, demographics, competitor products & pricing, and other relevant information to formulate marketing strategies. 
  7. Track all marketing data, create detailed reports and weekly and monthly presentations. 
  8. Coordinate with PR teams to develop integrated communication strategies that align with marketing objectives and enhance brand reputation. 
  9. Collaborate with social media teams to ensure consistent brand messaging and optimise social media campaigns for maximum engagement and reach.
  10. Apply performance marketing fundamentals, including campaign optimisation, budget allocation, and ROI measurement, to improve marketing effectiveness. 
  11. Analyse campaign performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. 
  12. Manage paid advertising campaigns (PPC, social media ads) in coordination with the Performance Marketing team to maximise ROI. 

Qualification and Work Experience: 

  1. Full-time MBA from a recognised University specialising in marketing with a strong focus on digital marketing. 
  2. 8 to 10 years of experience in a marketing agency or with a brand in a performance marketing role. 
  3. Demonstrated success in managing and optimising digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels. 
  4. Experience working in a complex/matrix organisational structure is highly preferred. 
  5. Prior experience in the education sector is a plus. 

Skills & Abilities: 

Soft Skills: 

  1. Data Analytics: Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques to analyse campaign performance data and identify trends. 
  2. Marketing Platforms: Working knowledge of using marketing platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc., to streamline campaign management and reporting. 
  3. SEO, GEO and SEM: Knowledge of search engine optimisation (SEO), generative engine optimisation (GEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) principles. 
  4. Social Media Marketing: Developing and managing social media campaigns across various platforms. 

Hard Skills: 

  1. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. 
  2. Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with various internal and agency partner teams to achieve common goals. 
  3. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and foster a positive work environment. 
  4. Problem-Solving: Ability to analyse problems, identify root causes, and develop solutions. 
  5. Time Management: Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
