JOB DESCRIPTION:

Primary Objectives

This role will be responsible for growth of the Cardiometabolics portfolio in India and Emerging Asia. This will be done through a strategic approach to the market, customers and lead generation in cooperation with sales leadership and teams. The job will require the development of key relationships across the spectrum of healthcare stakeholders and other strategic business partners to identify opportunities and drive fulfilment of needs that fit to Abbott technologies and capabilities.

Examples of success in the role would be:

  • HbA1C, CRP, ACR and Afinion sales and market share growth year on year, across the region.
  • Creation of effective user communities of HCPs, payors and strategic business partners such as pharmaceutical companies and NGOs to maximize patient testing numbers, create better POC awareness and increase Abbott sales and market share.
  • Develop and deploy economic evidence to achieve expanded geographic reimbursement.
  • Expand Afinion customer base in targeted customer segments across the region.

Top responsibilities

  • Understand the local dynamics of the point-of-care market, the customers, the health economic environment including reimbursement and competitor strategies to develop and execute a detailed annual strategic business plan.
  • Provide local forecasts, business reports and information to regional/divisional management as required on a timely basis.
  • Work with local opinion leader customers to influence the entire market to fully adopt current and future reimbursement policy, to maximize treatment with Abbott Products.
  • Provide a continuous update of local competitor activities to ensure effective product placement and to gain advantage in competition.
  • Planning and achievement of strategic programs for effective market launches of products supporting to reach sales and profit targets.
  • Organization and participation to congresses, workshops and scientific events and propagation of information to colleagues (also new product information of competitors.

  • Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or business-related field
  • Preferred:

  • MBA or master's degree in science or business related field
  • Minimum 5 years related sales and marketing experience.

  • Multinational companies experience
  • Travel requirements 20-30%

    Fluency in English and languages within the cluster
