Marketing and Business Development Specialist (APAC) - Life Sciences is responsible for driving regional pipeline creation through business development and field marketing activities.

This position partners closely with APAC Sales leadership, global Marketing, and the wider Danaher ecosystem. This role requires regular travel within the region to support customer engagement, events, and internal collaboration.

This position reports to the Senior Marketing Manager, Field & Social Marketing and is part of the Global Marketing team. The role will also have a dotted line reporting relationship to the Senior Director, Global Commercial Strategy and APAC Commercial, working closely with Account Managers in India, Korea and Japan to support growing in our business in the APAC region. This position is located in India and is fully remote.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Identify and engage target accounts and key personas across APAC through proactive outreach and in-person interactions, including reengagement of lost or inactive accounts.
  • Drive outbound prospecting, nurture early-stage interest into qualified sales opportunities, and partner with Sales to uncover growth and expansion within existing customer accounts.
  • Manage regional lead follow-up with strategic multi-touch cadences and maintain accurate activity and qualification data in Salesforce.
  • Plan and execute regional field marketing activities to build brand awareness, generate pipeline, and deliver events—including development and localization of marketing assets, event management, and collaboration with approved partners and vendors.
  • Support and monitor digital marketing initiatives tailored to local platforms, audience behaviors, and language needs; track and analyze regional engagement, lead quality, and conversion to optimize market effectiveness.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in business development, field marketing, or hybrid commercial roles, preferably in B2B or enterprise environments.
  • Demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, account engagement, and opportunity qualification. Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).
  • Experience working across APAC markets, with strong cultural and regional awareness.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; comfortable working directly with customers and internal stakeholders.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

  • Ability to travel – up to 30% both domestically and internationally

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Life sciences, scientific software, or regulated industries.is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with laboratory informatics, R&D workflows, or scientific data management.
  • Experience operating in a matrixed, global organization.
