Process Overview
We are seeking an experienced and analytically driven Fraud Strategy Analyst to strengthen our defenses against Account Takeover (ATO) and Device Fraud across products and channels.
Job Description :
In this role, you will design and implement strategies to accurately distinguish genuine customers from fraudsters impersonating them, leveraging data analytics, domain expertise, and innovative problem-solving.
Responsibilities
Develop and enhance fraud strategies focused on account takeover and device-based risks, covering both financial transactions and non-monetary events using statistical & analytical techniques.
Leverage strong understanding of banking products, customer journeys, and digital channels to identify fraud vulnerabilities.
Perform deep-dive analysis of complex fraud and scam scenarios, generating actionable insights and scalable solutions.
Lead investigations into high-value fraud incidents, reverse-engineering fraud patterns to identify root causes and develop preventive controls.
Design and deploy data-driven strategies and rules to mitigate emerging fraud risks while optimizing customer experience.
Collaborate closely with strategy peers in addition to technology, products, risk, and operations teams to implement & monitor fraud controls.
Continuously track industry trends in fraud, cybersecurity, and digital identity to benchmark against leading practices.
Drive innovation by developing creative, forward-looking fraud solutions, including first-in-industry capabilities where applicable.
Development of both ad-hoc and more standardized reporting (MIS).
Requirements*
Education :Advanced degree, preferably in Statistics/Mathematics, Computer Sciences, Engineering from a premier institute
Certifications If Any : Technical certifications in SAS, SQL preferred.
Experience Range*
3–5 years in data analytics, fraud analytics, or risk strategy, preferably within BFSI.
Foundational Skills
Strong expertise in SAS and SQL (intermediate to advanced level required).
Experience with big data tools and environments such as Hive, Hue, or similar platforms.
Working knowledge of Python, R is preferable.
Exposure to device intelligence, digital fingerprinting, behavioral biometrics, or identity verification frameworks.
Proven ability to build, test, and deploy analytical fraud strategies that deliver measurable financial impact.
Solid experience in data mining, pattern recognition, and fraud detection methodologies.
Strong analytical thinking with the ability to handle complex, ambiguous datasets and scenarios.
Ability to learn in fast paced environment with limited support & self-starter approach.
Desired skills :
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment is critical. Must have exceptional organizational, project management and communications skills.
