Job Description: Manager – Operational Finance (Accounts Payable)

Position Overview

The Manager – Operational Finance (Accounts Payable) will oversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate vendor payments, compliance with company policies, and optimization of financial operations. This role requires strong leadership, analytical skills, and the ability to drive efficiency in financial workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounts Payable Management
    • Supervise daily AP operations including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, and payment runs.
    • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor aging reports and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to streamline AP processes through automation and best practices.
    • Implement policies to enhance accuracy, timeliness, and cost efficiency.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and mentor the AP team, providing guidance and performance management.
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Reporting
    • Prepare monthly AP reports and dashboards for senior management.
    • Support audits by providing documentation and explanations of AP transactions.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
    • Work closely with procurement, treasury, and other finance teams to align payment strategies.
    • Maintain strong vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms when necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 7–10 years of experience in finance, with at least 3–5 years in accounts payable leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems
  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and compliance requirements.
